Well, today my sewing class' assignment is to cut and sew a basic skirt for myself. It is a nice feeling knowing that i will be finally sewing something for myself. I will post a picture for sure... meanwhile; here is a picture of one of the tote bags i have been working on. Is made from a recycled tablecloth.

I finally got around making necklaces, i picked-up where i left over two years ago; but now, I was aiming for a more personal touch when creating my necklaces. Like always, there is a lot of room for improvements.

Birthday Dress

I have not been posting, but i have been busy trying to make life interesting creating little things here and there. I finally came up with a pretty decent dress for my daughter's birthday . I have to improve a lot, but it's much better than the one i made last year.

I have making some fun things lately well, When my daughter was born I decided that I wanted to make cloth diapers for her. One reason is that I felt strongly that is was good contribution towards making Mother Earth cleaner and healthier for us all, and secondly is seemed as such vintage idea, I loved it. I bought nice hemp fleece and I made rectangular diapers and used them for over a year, but jules is now bigger and the diapers were not holding well when she made " water" , so I stopped using them and recruited to disposable, sadly and reluctantly.

In search of a solution, i have done research on the net, and I have decided to turn Jules rectangular cloth diapers into fitted diapers. I will post a pic of the first one I did.

Today I also decorated my mail box and I will definately post a picture soon.

Hello to all,

I am finally discovering the joy of savoring the little moments in life, and it is really interesting that I am taking the time to share it with others, yet I am happy to do so. Some time back I really wanted to be creative and make everything I needed, but most of the time this was just a yearning and I never really put the effort and time into doing those little things. Now that I am at home caring for my second child, I am slowly discovering the joy of doing little things and am certainly enjoying it.

I am beginning to sew dresses for my almost 2 year old; I have no experience in sewing, and I am certainly open to comments that will improve my skills. I will try to post a picture as soon as I figure out how to add an image to this text. Excuse my computer slowness, I am sure with practice I will get better.
